I really enjoyed your responses to the Goblin Market! I am glad you enjoyed it as much as I did. Now that we are getting close to the end of term, I think it will be very helpful to start putting all the pieces together. Everything we've looked at so far are like pieces of a puzzle, and I would like us to start building a picture to help answer some important questions:
What is drama, what are its elements?
How does poetry fit into the notion of drama?
What is the goal and function of drama (and please don't say, "to entertain" ;)
Teaser: Next week, I will be sharing a fascinating documentary with you that has NOTHING to do with drama or poetry, and yet it is one of the best examples I can find of dramatic story telling; it has all the elements! I think you will love it.
